Alatuir

Alatuir
   The magic stone which in Slavonic myth was to be found on the island of Bouyan. From beneath it flowed a river whose waters healed all ailments. At some stage of Slavonic myth Alatuir became a stone at the cross-roads which warned heroes of impending danger, and later still it became the stone on which stood the Cross.
